The fashion marathon has just ended after more than 4 weeks of shows. paris closed this busy race of collections presenting the latest trends for next winter. the fashion capital modernised la bourgeoise and in particularly the ultimate parisian chic that mixes “coolness” with classicism.it’s hedi slimane who strongly expressed this rive gauche woman at celine, taking a different approach from her last collection. a deceptively well-behaved and retro woman, in a culotte skirt, loose tie bow collar and aviator glasses. in another style at saint laurent, anthony vaccarello paid tribute to betty catroux’s iconic look, another french woman and muse of yves saint laurent who is all legs and reflects an androgynous style.balenciaga also pays tribute to french women, just like nicolas ghesquière who recreated the pompidou centre at the heart of the louvre museum highlighting the epicentre of the beaubourg quarter, in a style with multiple aspects that characterises paris.the strong personality of this french woman is seen at balmain, a mix of sweetness and rigor at givenchy. women are at the centre of attention of maria grazia chiuri and the dior house around the feminism debate that appears written on the walls through a human alphabet branded by the italian artist tomaso binga and on the podium through a style that celebrates the teddy girls.all women (in their diversity, in all ages and shapes) were highlighted at tommy hilfiger who presented his new collection in collaboration with the actress zendaya. a super festive show which was closed by grace jones’ performance.many moments stood out this fashion week especially the long-awaited rebirth of lanvin designed by bruno sialelli.but the event that everyone was waiting for and that will be engraved in their memories was karl lagerfeld’s last collection for chanel, presented 2 weeks after his death. a minute silence and the voice of the designer echoed under the glass roof of the grand palais. a calming setting like a white paradise and a collection at the peak of elegance by way of saying good-bye. pénélope cruz closes the show in a bubble dress and a white rose in hand. models and loved ones hold back their tears. the master, although no longer here was still so present. a page has turned, we will remember this moment… in this snow-covered village, everyone gathered to pay one final tribute to the genius of fashion.
