TheMicam confirms new dates

To remedy the decline in attendance, the next autumn edition of TheMicam will be held from Saturday 3rd to Tuesday 6th September 2016. The date change was announced a few days ago, and has now been confirmed by the organisers of the Milan footwear trade show. 

"We're working on a regeneration project for TheMicam, and doubtlessly the question of dates is a key factor," explained Anna Rita Pilotti, president of Assocalzaturifici, the Italian footwear manufacturers association. The new dates could however coincide with those of the Paris accessories show, Première Classe, and its apparel homologue Who's Next.

TheMicam chiefly hopes to attract again a number of Italian visitors. Its 80th edition, held from 1st to 4th September, attracted 30,801 visitors compared to 34,176 a year earlier. The next edition will run from 14th to 17th February 2016.
