A trio of luxury's most dynamic names, Matchesfashion.com, Gucci and Farfetch, took the top awards at the 2017 Walpole British Luxury Awards ceremony held at The Dorchester in London on Monday.

Hosted by actress Catherine Zeta-Jones, the event brought together 300 top luxury industry creatives, executives and influencers to celebrate the luxury brands and individuals which have demonstrated trailblazing quality, craftsmanship, design and innovation over the past 12 months.

Online marketplace Matchesfashion.com was named British Luxury Brand of the Year, while Gucci scooped the International Luxury Brand of the Year award.

Farfetch was presented with the Digital Award, Johnstons of Elgin won the Commitment to British Manufacturing and the new Innovation & Creativity Award went to Kingsman and YNAP's Mr Porter. The men's fashion e-tailer had earlier launched a hugely successful collaboration with the original Kingsman movie that has continued and grown for the sequel movie this year.

Meanwhile, the Walpole Award for Cultural Experience was awarded to Chatsworth House, where the exhibition ‘House Style’ examining the history of fashion in English aristocracy was held this year in collaboration with Gucci.

The winners were chosen by a panel of judges, including Walpole Chairman and MD of Harrods Michael Ward; Walpole CEO Helen Brocklebank; Gillian de Bono, Editor of FT How to Spend It; and Bentley Design Director Stefan Sielaff.
