Vogue Australia fashion director Christine Centenera launches Wardrobe.NYC

Wardobe.NYC, a new fashion label from Vogue Australia Fashion Director and Yeezy consultant Christine Centenera, has officially launched with an e-commerce store.

Wardrobe.NYC, the new fashion label from Christine Centenera and Josh Goot - Wardrobe.NYC

The new brand launches with 16 ‘Made in Italy’ pieces, with eight pieces for women and eight pieces for men. Key items include a button-up shirt and t-shirt, knit sweater, A-line skirt, blouse, leggings, blazer and coat for women, and a similar offering for men but with trousers, a hoody and an additional pants option.

Wardrobe.NYC offers its styles only in packs of four and eight, ranging in price from $1,500 to $3,000. The service is similar to a subscription box, minus the try-on period and random selection. A four-piece wardrobe for men and women is comprised of a t-shirt, and suit separates, while the eight-piece collection features an off-duty look and outerwear.

Centenera developed the new label with Josh Goot, the Australian designer and her partner of ten years, to provide a solution for every style conundrum. The creative told the New York Times that she found it difficult to recommend "reasonable” labels that offer “well-made pieces.”

She said, “What we’re trying to say is, this is less, and it’s really well done, and it will last you a really long time, and it will never go out of style. These pieces are forever.”

Goot added that the brand aims to collaborate with “best-in-class” brands to introduce a new accessory each season.
