Jan 17, 2020

This fall will see Versace open new doors in two of the fashion world’s most important cities, as it unveils a powerful new vision for the future in collaboration with renowned architect Gwenael Nicolas.

The new stores will be designed by Gwenael Nicolas - DR

In London, Versace has set its eyes on New Bond Street, which thought the be the third most expensive shopping street in Europe in terms of retail leases after Hong Kong’s Causeway Bay and New York’s Upper Fifth Avenue.

Also offering a full selection of men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and accessories, the London store spans 7,244 sq ft across three floors.

Opening on rue Saint-Honoré, the Paris store spreads over 8,428 sq ft across three floors. The concept, developed by Gwenael Nicolas specifically for Paris, pays homage to the brand’s design codes in a clean and contemporary way. The will stock the full ready-to-wear and accessories offer for both men and women.

“We are opening two new flagships in cities I love so much. Paris is at the heart of Europe, I admire it for its beauty, its art and unrivalled history of couture,” said Donatella Versace, chief creative officer.

“London is the most diverse city in the world. It never stops pushing forward and breaking the rules. I am always inspired by its fearless eccentricity and culture that’s always so alive with new music and new trends.”

The new stores in Paris and London will be LEED Gold certified, demonstrating a significant focus on sustainability.

According to the luxury brand, the spaces have been created with the highest sustainability standards in mind, from the choice of materials used to the flexibility and management of the stores.

The stores will open their doors in Fall 2020.
