Tyra Banks is the new face of Nine West

The American model and ‘90s icon has been tapped by Nine West to be its worldwide ambassador, parent company Authentic Brands revealed on Wednesday, September 4. Tyra Banks will appear in the brand's campaigns starting in October.

After having left the catwalk in 2005 to focus on acting, photography, and music, she's back on the fashion scene as Nine West's new face. The icon previewed her return this Spring by appearing, sexier than ever, on the cover of Sports Illustrated's annual Swimsuit Issue.

The first campaign was shot a few weeks ago on the roof of a building serving as a helicopter port.

The photos are expected to be revealed during October. The collaboration between Nine West and Tyra Banks is also expected to include the opening of pop-up boutiques, events and the establishment of charitable partnerships.
