Tom Ford to return to NYFW with intimate presentation

Published
Dec 23, 2015

Tom Ford is making his return to New York Fashion Week in February, according to the American media.

The American designer will present his fall collection in New York City at New York Fashion Week in February after showing his collections in London for multiple seasons. Instead of showing the men’s collection during New York Fashion Week: Men’s, Tom Ford will show both collections together in an intimate presentation in February.

"As we all know, the way in which we show clothes, not only to the press, but also to the consumer, is changing," said Ford. "Right now, I think that a certain fluidity is necessary in regards to how we communicate with the consumer, and I have experimented with different formats recently. The most important thing to me with a presentation is that it communicates the message of the season and the point of view of the collection. Next season, it feels right to return to a format that is intimate and shows the detail of the clothes. The intimacy of small presentations affords that."

Ford announced in November that he would hold his first ever men's only fashion presentation at London Collections: Men in January. The presentation is still set for January 11, 2016 at 6:30pm according to the LC:M website.
