Tissot strengthens New York presence
Tissot continues to expand across New York. The Swiss watchmaker, operated by Swatch group, opened a new boutique in the Big Apple in mid-August, inside the Westfield World Trade Center retail precinct. Only recently opened itself, the mall is located in the south of Manhattan and is already home to a number of luxury European brands.
It's the fourth store plant by Tissot in the city, following openings on Times Square, Fifth Avenue and Wall Street, in the space of two years.
With this most recent store launch, the watch brand -- and official chronometer of the NBA basketball league -- is cementing its presence in the United States.
Marking the occasion, Tissot has even unveiled a new concept store with new visual animations, imagery showcasing Tissot brand ambassadeurs, and a larger choice of watches and collections to shop from.
In the "Watchmaker Corner", a Swatch group specialist is available to adjust watch links and perform a variety of repairs on the spot, reads a statement from the brand.
"Tissot has infinite growth potential in the United States. The latest store opening reflects our determination to ignite in Americans a true passion for traditional Swiss watches ," said Tissot president, François Thiébaud, in a note.
