The International Lingerie Show renames its summer edition "Curve Paris"

Published
Apr 19, 2023

After a successful January edition, the Salon International de la Lingerie, which was taken over by WSN, is launching again this summer with a new name. After Unique by Mode City, the summer swimwear and lingerie event has been renamed Curve Paris.

"In July, the show has always struggled to find its positioning," explains Matthieu Pinet, general manager of the shows dedicated to the lingerie industry, alongside Frédéric Maus, general manager of WSN and CEO of Eurovet since June 2022. By renaming ourselves Curve Paris, we are building on a strong brand in the United States, which has its market, and creating something desirable. We launched the new dynamic of the International Lingerie Show last January with its new codes, its new scenography... The visitors showed us that we were on the right track, and we are continuing the renewal in July with the arrival of Curve Paris.

On the programme for this new event, which takes place from July 2 to 4 in Hall 5 at Porte de Versailles, is a redesigned offer that mixes lingerie, swim, resort and activewear collections that will be organised like a concept store and feature accessory, beauty and lifestyle brands to help buyers and boutiques prepare for the spring-summer 2024 season.

"This will be the most well-rounded event in terms of product offerings and categories," notes Matthieu Pinet. The entire WSN sales force is involved, which is already producing positive results in terms of tickets sales, which are already available, and is announcing that 40 percent of badges come from the Who's Next network. This confirms what our industry has been waiting for. This new synergy opens doors that were closed between the Fashion and Lingerie/Beachwear markets."

In parallel, Interfilière Paris, fully integrated since January, benefits from this renewed interest and will also be at the forefront with Curve Paris. "The two shows together are a huge benefit to the industry. Paris has this specificity that we have reinforced," continues the general manager. For July, we will further emphasise this by placing the conferences and the VIP area at Interfilière.

In terms of communication, the visual of the event intrigues as much as it challenges. Designed by the contemporary collage artist Emir Shiro, it marks the positioning of the exhibition, which is clearly in tune with the times.

However, in July, the timing will be tight for buyers as Texworld will be held almost at the same time from July 3 to 5 at Porte de Versailles. WSN has announced the creation of a common badge for buyers. "The shows' offerings are different, but our visitors are the same," notes Matthieu Pinet. While to the north of the capital, Première Vision will be held from July 4 to 6 at Paris Nord Villepinte.
