The hottest fashion collaborations landing fall 2016

The annual arrival of fall makes way for a wardrobe update, and for the fall/winter 2016 season, fashion collaborations are riding high. Here's a look at some of the season's unmissable pairings, with collections from Tommy Hilfiger, Aubade, Uniqlo and H&M.

Gigi Hadid models a look from the "Tommy X Gigi" collection

Tommy Hilfiger x Gigi Hadid

As well as being signed up as an ambassador for the brand, the star model has also co-created a clothing and accessories collection with a sportswear-chic vibe. This ready-to-wear line has a sailor-chic theme, with cable-knit sweaters, maxi dresses, high-waist pants with button fronts, long coats, ankle boots and a whole host of accessories.
The "Tommy X Gigi" collection goes on sale on www.tommy.com from September 1, before rolling out to stores from September 10.

Aubade x Christian Lacroix

After being announced in December 2015, this collaboration teaming the lingerie brand with Christian Lacroix was revealed in part this summer. An audacious and glamorous reworking of one of Aubade's iconic lines -- "Idylle Parisienne" -- this Rococo-inspired capsule created by the famous designer will come in two color options: "Princesse Impériale," available since the summer, and "Gardénia," due out in October. The collection features several styles of bras and briefs, as well as a waist-cincher and a nightdress.

Uniqlo & Ines de La Fressange

While the partnership between the Japanese clothing brand and the French model and fashion designer is nothing new, this season's collection is still a must-shop. Fashion fans are being treated to a sixth capsule for fall/winter 2016, once again channeling Ines de la Fressange's chic Parisian style. The new collection has three major themes: "La Femme Rive Droite," inspired by the natural-born elegance of women in Paris's right-bank neighborhoods, "La Femme Rive Gauche," capturing the natural fuss-free chic of left-bank women, and "La Femme 70s," channeling a free spirit. The collection includes 70 pieces and goes on sale September 8 in Uniqlo stores worldwide and on www.uniqlo.com.

H&M x Kenzo

Although this collection lands later in the season -- heading to stores November 3 -- fashionistas should keep an eye out for this capsule, one of fall's most eagerly awaited collaborations. After last year's Balmain collaboration, the Swedish clothing giant has teamed with Kenzo for a fall collection laced with the label's signature traits, such as candy bright colors, prints and mix-and-match pieces. Menswear and womenswear from the collection will sell in 250 specially selected H&M stores worldwide.
