Tarte taps influencer ExteriorGlam for new lash launch

Tarte is expanding its line of false eyelashes with a new collaboration.

The cruelty-free beauty brand has teamed up with the Albanian makeup artist and lash expert Foinika Kay (known as ExteriorGlam) on a duo of falsies titled ‘Kosova' and ‘0-100.'

"After years of hard work I'm so excited for my first collaboration -- and even more excited that it's with Tarte, which has been one of my favorite makeup brands since I started as a makeup artist, before all of the attention on social media," said the New York-based Foinika in a statement.

"I'm really proud of where I come from and it's been so important to my success, so it means a lot for me to be able to show my hometown some love with my first lash collab."

The Kosova lashes are described by Tarte as "flirty and fluttery" and have been designed to "add a pop to your everyday look," while the 1-100 style is "ultra-wispy and dramatic" and "perfect for a glam night out."

Both styles are vegan, latex-free and reusable.

Foinika, who hails from Kosova, began her career as a freelance makeup artist, before going on to build up an impressive Instagram following of 1.7 million.

Although she is the first influencer to work with Tarte on false lashes, the brand has been building up relationships with beauty stars for some time now.

The label launched a limited-edition Tarte X Adelaine Morin ‘Eye & Cheek Palette' with the influencer Adelaine Morin back in April, having previously collaborated with lifestyle influencer Aspyn Ovard.
