Spain’s Cortefiel lands in Iceland

Spanish company Cortefiel is branching into the Icelandic market with its lingerie label Women’secret, Springfield, and the group’s signature brand Cortefiel.

The group has opened standalone stores at one of Iceland’s largest shopping centres, Smáralind in Reykjavik. Cortefiel’s arrival in Iceland was secured through a franchise agreement with a local partner.

The retail company has over 600 franchised stores in 89 countries.

The launches in Iceland are set to be followed by new openings in Norway, Denmark and Finland.
