Sneaker fair Sneakerness lands in Rotterdam

Published

Europe’s largest sneaker fair, Sneakerness, will land in Rotterdam on 25 and 26 November at the Van Nelle Fabriek (Van Nelle Factory). It will be the first Rotterdam edition after events in Paris, Berlin, Cologne and Moscow.

During the fair, international brands, sneaker stores, private sellers and collectors will be brought together to exhibit, buy, sell and swap footwear and street fashion. Some available retailers and brands are: Crep Protect (London), WOEI (Rotterdam) Overkill (Berlin), Monta (Amsterdam) and Reell Jeans (Germany). Sneakerness will focus on offering a wide range from classics and rarities to the latest trends of urban culture.

In addition to buying, selling and exhibiting, visitors will also be able to engage in a number of activities, which will, of course, be sneaker-related. This includes a sneaker art gallery, professional sneaker photography, live graffiti artists, and sneaker customization.

Matthijs van der Meulen, marketing manager Sneakerness said: “After a number of successful events in Amsterdam the request from visitors to host a second Sneakerness event in the Netherlands increased. Rotterdam was an easy choice: it is an exciting city, with a vibrant street fashion and lifestyle scene.”

Sneakerness first launched in 2008 with a convention in Bern, Switzerland. In 2011 the fair landed for the first time in the Netherlands with its Amsterdam edition.
