Secret Deodorant launches new line, with the help of Camila Mendes

Camila Mendes isn't sweating the small stuff -- the actress has landed a major new beauty contract as the face of Secret Deodorant's new antiperspirant line, Secret with Essential Oils.

The "Riverdale" star has been unveiled as the celebrity spokesperson for the new Secret series, which comprises four luxury fragrances that also deliver 48-hour sweat and odor protection. With paraben and dye-free formulas and a fabrication method that sees essential oils extracted via cold pressing and steam distillation, the new scents bridge the gap between deodorant and fragrance. The scents available include Coconut Oil and Mandarin, Lavender and Eucalyptus, Rose and Charcoal, and Cedarwood and Citrus.

"I love how sophisticated the fragrances are -- especially for a deodorant!" said Mendes of her new role.

"While antiperspirant has typically been viewed as a more functional product, we are challenging that notion with the launch of Secret with Essential Oils," added Sara Saunders, Associate Brand Director at Secret. "Thoughtfully crafted with an elevated scent and look, this is the first antiperspirant that truly sits between the beauty and personal care aisle."

Secret is no stranger to hiring famous faces for its campaigns -- the brand has previously worked with actress and activist Sophia Bush, as well as soccer legend Abby Wambach. Mendes also has plenty of beauty industry experience, having previously worked on promotional material for the haircare label John Frieda.
