Sarah Jessica Parker makes a fragrance comeback with 'Stash'

Sarah Jessica Parker is making a surprise return to the fragrance industry with a sexy new scent called 'Stash'. 

Seven years after the release of her last perfume, the actress and designer has unveiled edgy new scent, which she has been working on for years under her SJP Beauty label.

"One of the hardest secrets I've ever been asked to keep," the star wrote alongside a promotional video clip for the fragrance that she posted on her personal Instagram account. "A scent we've spent YEARS perfecting. Passed among a select few like a verboten substance. Offered up only in secret but no longer. For all of those who've stopped me on the street/in the grocery store/on the subway/in the library/at the theater to ask me what fragrance I'm wearing, I can finally reveal the answer: STASH by @sjpbeauty."

The clip, and a still image posted on the SJP Beauty account, reveal a simple apothecary-style vial with a black and gold lid and label, filled with an amber-hued perfume. The result is sophisticated, sultry, and much edgier than SJP's biggest fragrance hit to date, the 2005 'Lovely'. In a recent interview with WWD, she referred to the scent as "Lovely's naughty, subversive sibling."

Stash is described as a "sensuous, aromatic woody fragrance," featuring notes that include grapefruit zest, black pepper, patchouli, ginger lily, pistachio, vetiver and musk.

Stash is now available at sjpbeauty.com, and will launch on Ulta Beauty on August 28.
