Salon International de la Lingerie: 480 brands announced

Published
Jan 19, 2015

In the current economic crisis, achieving stability is enough to merit a satisfying level of performance for a professional trade fair. That is, in any case, what the Salon International de la Lingerie is proposing, in particular in terms of its offer, for its upcoming edition scheduled for 24 to 26 January at the Parc des Expositions de la Porte de Versailles.

The event organised by Eurovet will thus bring together the same amount of brands that were present at the January 2014 edition, with 480 exhibitors on the docket. Although there will be some notable absences, precisely due to the famous context, such as Maison Lejaby and brands marques Vanity Fair and Lou, there will also be some new entries and a few international brands returning.

So, exhibiting for the first time at the trade fair will be German company Mey Bodywear, Turkish company Blackspade, the Italian company specialised in loungewear, Buccia di Mela, Guess lingerie license holder, the French label for teenagers Les Fées de Filles, and finally a launch from the Bendon group with the Heidi Klum Intimates brand. As for those returning, they include the young men's and women's brand Skinny, from Austrian group Huber, and the undergarment collections from Desigual.

The two more recently launched segments that are men's underwear and tights are consolidated, with each consisting of about twenty exhibitors in the dedicated zone, not including the secondary lines from the brands exhibiting elsewhere at the trade fair. The "tights" zone is in particular expecting three significant international arrivals with Golden Lady, Falke and Kunert.

The new Heidi Klum Intimates brand from Bendon will be launched at the Salon International de la Lingerie.

Another category of specific products will also see its offer expanded at this edition: postoperative lingerie. Besides Anita and Amoena, which are regulars, brands like Bibi & Bibi, Theya Lingerie, Zuri Luxury Lingerie, Fajate and Lorna Drew will all padding to this offer with their arrival.

Finally, in terms of visitors, the event's organiser, Eurovet, hopes to increase its numbers. One week before the trade fair and there is already an increase in preregistrations, except for Russia, not surprisingly. The hope is now that these numbers are confirmed in reality and that the momentum is not curbed by the withdrawals tied to the recent events in Paris.
