Quiz unveils first ever Eco Collection

Quiz has launched its first sustainability collection with the new offer dubbed Quiz Eco. It’s the retailer’s very first environmentally-friendly clothing line and “the most tangible reflection so far” of its commitment to reducing its environmental impact.

It comprises 16 products, including mini dresses and midi skirts, for the summer season.

The company said the offer “is designed and manufactured in the UK via Global Recycled Standard-certified routes”.

The retailer has used recycled polyester fibres made into fabric blends and all prints used are water-based, reducing chemical use and producing less waste.

It’s part of the firm’s Sustainability Road Map, of which the primary focus is reducing the business’s carbon footprint.

Quiz said it has made “very good progress” against its sustainability goals by implementing a number of company-wide initiatives to reduce its environmental impact. This includes converting all areas of the business to 100% renewable carbon-free energy; changing all customer bags to those made of 100% recycled and recyclable materials; and introducing “stringent” recycling practices. The introduction of 100% renewable energy alone will save more than 450 tonnes of carbon each year, it explained.

And it has also recently begun a clothing reuse and resale programme that provides support to its chosen charities.

Sheraz Ramzan, Chief Commercial Officer, said: “We know that while we have a way still to go, small steps like [the Eco collection] initiative play a big part in our overall sustainability strategy. We remain focused on reducing our environmental impact and will continue to look at improving the sustainability of our products.”
