Qatar Luxury Group finds Paris address

With the launch of its own luxury brand on the horizon, the Qatar Luxury Group has announced that will soon open a store on Avenue Montaigne in Paris. According to our sources, the store will be located at 50 Avenue Montaigne, a 500m² store that was formerly home to D. Porthault. The deal was lead by estate agents, Cushman & Wakefield.

In August 2012, the group – who has shares in the LVMH group – announced ambitions to launch a new luxury on home turf before eventually developing internationally. The launch of the brand is due to happen in Doha in May.

The Qatar Luxury Group, financed by the Qatar Foundation, aims to develop and support luxury brands in the fashion, hotel and lifestyle sectors. The majority of its executive board is made of former bosses of large western groups including CEO Gregory Couillard, ex-Procter & Gamble, Danone and LVMH.

The group recently bought shares in Le Tanneur and Anya Hindmarch.
