The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has released the preliminary official schedule for New York Fashion Week, and it features a host of big names.

Highlights of the schedule -- which has been shortened to five days following feedback from stakeholders -- include Tommy Hilfiger, who is bringing his ‘TommyNow' fashion extravaganza back to New York, following years of showing in Los Angeles, London, Shanghai and Paris. The US designer will debut his latest collection at the Apollo Theater in Harlem on September 8, showcasing the Fall 2019 edition of his collaboration with the singer and actress Zendaya.

Other unmissable moments are sure to include the Pyer Moss show (the label is currently one of the hottest on the calendar, following the crowning of its designer Kerby Jean-Raymond as the winner of the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund 2018 last November), and the French house of Longchamp, which first took to the catwalk in New York last September.

Jeremy Scott will be one of the first designers to show on the schedule, which kicks off on September 6. Marc Jacobs will be the last creative to show for the season, closing New York Fashion Week on September 11.

New York Fashion Week will run from September 6 through September 11.
