Première Vision Paris will be held on February 7-11 in a new hybrid format, which includes a three-day physical show (on February 8-10) for some 1,000 exhibitors at the Villepinte exhibition centre in the French capital. The event, dedicated to the Spring/Summer 2023, is once again having to adapt to the constraints imposed by the pandemic.

The exhibitors, among them 63 new names, come from 41 countries. They also include about 100 online exhibitors, whose collections will be featured, from the eve of the physical event, on the Première Vision marketplace, the focal point of the show’s digital edition. The PV marketplace currently includes over 2,040 e-stores, with 61,500 products available for sale or sampling.

The physical show has had to downsize compared to the pre-pandemic editions, and its distribution within the exhibition centre has changed. PV Yarns (yarns and fibres), the 185 exhibitors of PV Accessories (components, buttons, zips etc.) and the Smart Creation section, focusing on sustainable innovation, are grouped together in hall 4. PV Fabrics, with its 558 exhibitors, will occupy halls 5 and 6, sharing the former with the 93 exhibitors of PV Design (focused on textile design) and the latter with PV Leather and PV Manufacturing (dedicated to finished-product sourcing), showcasing respectively 11 and 72 exhibitors.

Italian manufacturers and suppliers will once again form the largest national contingent, with 299 exhibitors, ahead of those from France (189) and Turkey (187). There will also be exhibitors from Portugal (60), Spain (52), South Korea (41), China (40), the UK (31), Japan (24) and Germany (19).

The event includes three separate trends areas, one for each hall. Hall 4 will host the ‘Do It Sustainably’ forum, dedicated to sustainable fashion, while hall 5 will feature ‘Give It Flair’, with a focus on design and patterns. In hall 6, the ‘Keep it Incomparable’ section will present the colour palette for Spring/Summer 2023, and a multi-product section on textures and performance fabrics.

Two areas for a “creative dip” into Spring/Summer 2023 are also planned in halls 4 and 5. Participants to the PV Digital Show will be able to explore a unique 3D Forum, presenting about 50 iconic items selected by Première Vision.

Conferences at last September’s Première Vision show were held strictly online. For the current edition, the show will feature again a section called ‘Talk’, hosting a number of debates in hybrid format. Among them, several trend forums and the Pitch Innovation conferences, as well as round-table debates on industry news, sustainability, the metaverse and the new generations of consumers.

The French Fashion Institute will hold a talk on the new global geography of textile sourcing, while CELC, the European Confederation of Linen and Hemp, will present its traceability innovations. The Smart Creation section, focused on sustainability, will publish a podcast produced in partnership with fashion podcast ‘Entreprendre dans la Mode’.
