Pre-Basel 2019: Bulgari showcases artistry and expertise

With a few weeks to go before the Baselworld 2019 watch fair kicks off in Switzerland (March 21-26), Bulgari -- which celebrates its 135th anniversary this year -- has unveiled several new models combining the expert craftsmanship and intricate complications of the finest watchmakers with its signature Italian style. 

Bulgari brings the richness of its heritage to these three women's watches. With intricate complications, refined jewelry artistry and creative flair, Bulgari showcases its talent for luxury watchmaking.

Bulgari adds to its Serpenti collection with a new Spiga watch featuring an elegant combination of rose gold and brown ceramic. With its feminine curves, this model sits delicately around the wrist with its 35mm brown ceramic case, diamond-set rose gold bezel, and rose gold crown with ceramic cabochon. Echoing the color of the case and strap, the brown dial features hours and minutes functions. The watch is powered by a quartz movement.

The perfect example of Bulgari's mastery of watchmaking's major complications, this new watch adds to the Roman jeweler's Divas' Dream collection. As well as its technical specifications, the watch showcases the brand's inimitable style. This new creation stands out with its mechanical manufacture movement -- the BVL 362 caliber -- with a two-hammer minute repeater. Bulgari also claims that this is the thinnest minute repeater on the market. This all comes housed in a 37mm white gold case, snow-set with round diamonds, contrasting with the blue aventurine dial featuring nine diamond indices. The watch has hours and minutes functions plus off-center small seconds. It is a limited-edition creation with just 10 units made.

Bulgari's style and heritage is also channeled through the Italian jeweler's Lvcea Skeleton, featuring a skeleton dial with diamond-set "BVLGARI" lettering for the most sophisticated of effects. The 33mm white gold case boasts a bezel set with brilliant-cut sapphires. This model, which has a blue alligator strap, is powered by an automatic mechanical manufacture movement.
