Philipp Plein International AG and WorldTime Watches & Jewelry SA, based in Lugano, Switzerland, have signed a license deal for the development, production and distribution of Philipp Plein watches and jewellery, for a 5+5-year term. These will be the first fully fledged collections by Philipp Plein, which previously had only introduced a handful of watches in its product range.

The watches collection, consisting of some 80 items, will be presented officially this month and will be available for sale next winter at Philipp Plein stores, online and at select authorised retailers. In spring 2022, the products will be distributed more widely via other multibrand retailers. The jewellery collection will première in January 2022, and will be immediately available for sale.

“I am thrilled with the debut of these new lines of watches and jewellery, which will enrich our collections with key elements in men’s and women’s looks. I am sure that the collaboration with WorldTime Watches & Jewelry will be an opportunity to push the boundaries of our iconic vision of luxury even further,” said Philipp Plein in a press release.

Both the watches and jewellery lines will be characterised by Philipp Plein’s signature traits, like crystals, studs, galvanic gilding treatments in various colours, military insignia and unique combinations of rare materials, in addition to the label's distinctive embossed skull and bones motif in a multi-faceted, 3D version.

For the design, production and distribution of the Philipp Plein collections, WorldTime Watches & Jewelry will tap its long-standing partnership with the Timex Group, which has been active in the sector for over 150 years.
