Patou Market pop-up opening in St. Germain

Published
Jul 3, 2021

The house of Patou, which does not boast any boutique of its own, is nonetheless going to open up its own unique pop-up – named Patou Market.

The four-floor pop-up will be open at 165 Boulevard Saint-Germain, in front of Café de Flore, from July 4 to July 12.

The brand will unveil its path-breaking concept on Saturday, a teaser before the haute couture season kicks off next week in the French capital.

Inspired by French country markets, Patou Market will include florists, record stands, herbariums, ceramics and eco-underwear from a series of indie brands.

Its ground floor is given over to collabs and Patou Goodies, while up on what the French call the first floor, shoppers can try on and purchase Patou’s new collection and its Acte 3 & 4 Collection.

While in an era of upcycling and recycling, Patou has created a haberdashery floor where one can buy the house’s stock of fabrics, sewing thread and gros-grain ribbons.

The top floor is entitled Ateliers, where enthusiasts can enjoy courses in stamping your own glass; creating a floral bouquet and how to walk and stand. Hard to believe but true in Paris, a city whose citizens are noted for their poise.

Also included are exclusive Patou totes and scrunchies made from stock fabrics and even Patou plates in the 400 square-meter arcade.

Among the cool labels will be Paris florist Debeaulieu, who will create special bouquets of dried flowers; vintage vinyl store Dizonord; fashion library and rare magazine source OFR; erotic movie poster supplier Tombées du Camion; and recycled glassmaker La Soufflerie.
