Panorama makes more space for green fashion and athleisure brands

More denim, more ecology and more retail support: Under the slogan "Connecting Communities", Panorama Berlin is planning to offer up a serious forum for the fashion industry in the German capital from 3 to 5 July.

"Fashion business is and remains a people's business, and in addition to the early sightings of the coming trends,  industry exchange remains an indispensable USP of Panorama Berlin," said CEO Jörg Wichmann, who also has some structural innovations up his sleeve.

Denim and casual concept "Nova Concept" in Hall 9 will be transformed into a whole court: in Hall 8, around 60 brands from the fields of athleisure and sports fashion will show their new spring / summer collections for 2019 in Hall 8.

Two seasonal themes (yoga and beachwear) should round off the area's offer, likely due to competition with the Premium Group, which has been inscribing athleisure themes across its the hall plans for several seasons.

With the "Retail Solutions" area, the creators of Panorama want to offer a new platform "for the whole world of possibilities to optimize stationary retailing".

From digital solutions and gastronomic franchise concepts to shopfitting and merchandising, the exhibition in Hall 6 will bring together service providers and tools that will turn trade in fashion into action. Short lectures and panels will provide further insights and ideas.

After the premiere in January, Wichmann and his team also want to expand the range of the eco-fashion format "Xoom" for sustainable fashion with a hall (7B) with a total of 3,600 square meters of exhibition space. "The great success of this area, which we are playing in partnership with Innatex, shows the steadily growing demand that rightly finds out about this important topic," commented the CEO.

The segmentation introduced last season will also remain for the upcoming edition: a left side for women's fashion ("Grace" in Hall 1 and "Style Hub" in Hall 3), and a right side focusing on men's fashion ("Gents" in Hall 2 and "Modernists" in Hall) 4).

Over 800 selected women's and men's collections, from contemporary to formal to casual & denim will be expanded with the spring / summer season 2019, through the integration of shoes and accessories as well as lifestyle items, presented in stylistically homogenous worlds.

"The positive feedback from exhibitors and visitors on the hall layout has confirmed our concept. The integration of shoes and accessories with the summer season 2019 underlines the respective themes and rounds them off well," explained Wichmann.

The Selvedge Run will remain an integral part of the Panorama Berlin during the upcoming summer edition.
