Modefabriek: Dutch fashion trade event 21-22 January 2018

Dutch fashion trade event, Modefabriek, will be coming back to Amsterdam. The bi-annual event, which focuses on business and inspiration, will be held on 21-22 January 2018 at Amsterdam Rai.

Modefabriek, a B2B event for fashion industry professionals, will bring together more than 600 national and international brands. The labels will include up and coming names as well as established brands,  ranging from womenswear, menswear, kidswear and luxury to denim and athleisure.

On both days, the trade event will host a series of fashion talks, MF talks. Speakers include Olcay Gulsen, Supertrash; Trend forecaster, David Shah; Forecasters Jan Agelink and Birgit Muis from Buro Jantrendman; and Jelle Rood and Moriam Hassan Balogun from Exposar.

In addition to the exhibited brands and fashion talks, Modefabriek will consist of fashion shows, expert advice, shopping stands and an ABC Bookstore featuring fashion books and magazines.

For this year’s winter edition, Modefabriek has launched a new layout for the website as well as the event space itself. The latter is categorized by lifestyle, image and distribution with the aim to create a more accessible event for visitors. The Central Hall focuses on womenswear; at Hall North one will find ‘new generation coolness’ and industry influencers; Hall West centers around fast-moving trends for men and women; Hall East is focused on trends in menswear.

Modefabriek was founded in 1996. The events takes place every year in January and July. In addition to the Modefabriek the event owner and organizer Modefabriek BV, founded by Lucel van den Hoeven, also operates Amsterdam Denim Days and New York Denim Days.
