Louis Vuitton inaugurates a temporary cultural space in Paris

Louis Vuitton is inaugurating a new temporary space in the heart of Paris. A cultural and culinary space called "LV Dream", which will host, from November 16 and for one year, an exhibition dedicated to the most important collaborations made by the brand with renowned artists, a café, a chocolate shop and a souvenir store.

As it has done in the past for other ephemeral projects, the star brand of the LVMH group has installed this project in its headquarters located at 2, rue du Pont-Neuf. A historic 19th century building that once housed "La Belle Jardinière", one of the oldest department stores in the capital.

LV Dream is spread over two levels and is articulated around nine rooms. The exhibition is free but accessible only with a reservation. It will offer an immersion into the various artistic collaborations that have marked the history of the trunk maker, through a selection of historical and contemporary models.

The company has always called on artists, including Richard Prince, Jeff Koons, Takashi Murakami, Yayoi Kusama and Stephen Sprouse, as well as designers such as Japan's Rei Kawakubo, to reinvent its famous monogram bags. "Offering numerous interactive experiences, this exhibition offers an immersive journey highlighting the resolutely original interpretations imagined in a constant dialogue with the house," summarizes the latter in a statement.

Visitors will also have direct access without a reservation to the "Maxime Frédéric at Louis Vuitton" café and chocolate shop, where the eponymous chef-patissier of the Cheval Blanc Paris will officiate. The Cheval Blanc Paris is a prestigious hotel next to La Samaritaine, both owned by LVMH and located just across the street from this new space.

At the end of the visit, the public will be able to treat themselves to a souvenir in a dedicated boutique "featuring various creations embellished with an exclusive LV DREAM logo, a selection of small leather goods, accessories, perfumes and publications," says the brand.
