Jon Richard launches jewellery concessions in UK Next branches

Published

Jon Richard has announced a major development as the independent jewellery specialist launches concessions in selected Next branches across Britain.

The move comes after a successful online partnership and will see the brand offering bridal, occasion and sterling silver collections in 10 stores. These include Birmingham Bullring, Merry Hill Shopping Centre, Metrocentre Gateshead, Manchester Arndale Centre, Lakeside Shopping Centre and Cardiff Queen Street.

Given that Next is one of the most popular fashion shopping destinations in the UK, it’s clearly a big deal for Jon Richard, which has been in business for 35 years.

The products themselves are “affordable, trend-led” pieces using premium materials set with semi-precious and Cubic Zirconia stones.

The key trends it’s focusing on for the new season include Mystic that “combines semi-precious stones with celestial inspiration”; Nature, incorporating textured metals and earthy tones; and Timeless that “redesigns everyday staples to become modern classics”.

More and more big-name retailers are pursuing strong third-party strategies at present as they seek to care out a bigger market share post-pandemic and this is offering huge potential for independent labels.

Next is one of the most prominent among these retailers, having moved in recent years from selling its own brand to taking ownership of other labels as well as selling third-party brands on its website and powering the webstores of other labels.

It’s a strategy that’s also being seen as major names such as M&S and John Lewis.
