Jasper Conran launches new dresses collection

Published

Jasper Conran London is launching a new dresses collection on Monday, celebrating what it says is “a wardrobe hero for many women”.

The new premium offer takes into account “fit, form and fabric” with pockets added to all styles for practicality. And sleeves are used throughout — that’s a big issue for many women who are unhappy about the shape of their upper arms and complain about the lack of sleeves in dresses.

The focus is on easy-to-wear pieces with shirtdresses included, plus obi-belted or elasticated waistlines and materials such as crisp cottons and fluid crepes in viscose and recycled polyester. Retail prices go from £160 to £220.

The label has also opted for “bold colours and confident prints”, along with neutrals like black and said that the pieces can be dressed up or down.

While the first drop will be on February 14, new styles will flow through the season. The launch range consists of 12 key shapes and offers various colour and print combinations with 31 different options available in total.

They’ll be available via the label’s own webstore with a curated edit launching with Next online this month as well.

And they’ll be accompanied by the new handbag collection that launches in March.

It includes “the timeless tote in standout colours, utility details for the camera cross body and shopper styles”. Bespoke hardware features on the leather totes and the shoulder bags, while cross bodies are accessorised with statement buckles and zip pulls.

The new handbag and purses build on the earlier launch collection with 12 new shapes added to the range.

Jasper Conran said of all this: “First and foremost, I look to create practical yet beautiful solutions for the life of the busy modern woman. All the details are thought out and reworked until they are perfect. I always consider who she is – fresh, contemporary and lively. I want our products to be the best friends in her wardrobe”.
