Jacquemus is setting down in Paris

'Always stronger, always higher'. This seems to be the motto of French brand Jacquemus, who is preparing to set down in Paris’s Golden Triangle. Eponymous designer Simon Porte Jacquemus has become quite the talk on instagram since announcing he was “opening a shop, Avenue Montaigne in Paris on the 27”. No more was needed to be said to provoke an avalanche of comments and rumors on the potential opening of the label's very first store.

The fashion house has told FashionNetwork.com that the point-of-sale would stay open until February 2023. Located at number 58, the new store will be situated at the top of the avenue between Gucci and Jil Sanders. The space will be designed over two floors, from the ground floor to the first floor and will present a selection of high-end pieces for both men and women, such as accessories, ready-to-wear, footwear, handbags and jewelry from the Autumn/Winter 2022-2023 'Le Papier' collection.

For a year-and-a-half, the brand that is currently distributed online and via a network of top multi-brand stores has been testing different direct sales concepts such as an automatic pop-up continuously open over the course of a few days, kind of like a vending machine.

After Paris in December 2021 and Milan in February 2022, Jacquemus did it again in London last march, this time partnering with English retailer Selfridges, not only opening an automatic pop-up but also a temporary space within Selfridges itself dedicated to offering a playful sensory experience.

Jacquemus seems to want to take things to the next level with this new project on Avenue Montaigne, which could be a trial for a future store or at least, it confirms the brand's desire to open its own shop in the City of Light sometime soon.
