Igedo launches new platform for kid’s wear

After calling it a day for the historic CPD show, Igedo is launching a new, younger breed of show. The Düsseldorf -based organisers have announced a new show for Summer 2013 titled “The Little Gallery”. The new show will take place between 7 and 9 July at The Botschaft, the same venue that hosts “The Gallery Düsseldorf”.

According to the press release, The Little Gallery organizers wish to round up the best of children’s, young adult and maternity fashion. In Germany Kind+Jugend, which next takes place in Cologne this September, which could provide a certain level of competition for The Little Gallery, is very focused on fashions for infants and babies.

In Berlin Bread&Butter have already tried their hand at a show specialized in fashion for children, but Igedo hope to profit from their location in Düsseldorf – typically less business driven than Berlin – to take the biscuit as far as children’s fashion goes. Marked on the calendar for the beginning of July, The Little Gallery will take place at the same time as Play Time in Paris and around ten days after Pitti Bimbo in Italy.
