Idris and Sabrina Elba to launch skincare and wellbeing line

Published
Feb 24, 2022

The latest celebrity beauty line that’s set to hit the market will come from power couple Idris and Sabrina Elba. The acting duo who recently launched their Coupledom podcast have revealed plans to launch a gender-neutral skincare and wellbeing line.

Idris and Sabrina Elba - S'able Labs

Under the S’able Labs umbrella (Sable being Elbas spelt backwards), they said they want their products to be inclusive and available “to people of all ethnicities, genders, and backgrounds”.

They’ve begun the publicity blitz for the line with a short video on the S’able Labs Instagram feed, saying: “We believe that when you feel good, you look good. That’s why we’re launching our genderless skincare collection, designed with the many benefits of self-care in mind.”

The video also said “coming soon”, but while there’s no definite date yet, it seems it will launch at some point in early summer.

The first drop looks likely to be a capsule collection with active and sustainable formulations, including many ingredients from Africa. The products will be “luxury” but also “affordable”. The Elbas are hoping “to drive positive change [in Africa] in collaboration with its supply chain partners”.

We also know that the products will be “simple and effective” with as much of an emphasis on wider wellbeing as on traditional skincare.

The S’able Labs lifestyle brand launched last summer and the Coupledom podcast also comes under that banner, and has attracted a number of celebrity guests including Kim Kardashian, Christian Louboutin, and Nadiya Hussain.
