IKKS Paris launches in UK with two London stores

Published
May 4, 2022

French fashion and lifestyle brand IKKS Paris is landing in the UK with two new stores set to open in London, on key shopping thoroughfares Carnaby Street in the West End and the King’s Road in Chelsea.

IKKS Paris

The first of these two opens this month on Carnaby Street, covering 2,610 sq ft across two floors with a full collection of womenswear, menswear, and kidswear. It will be the first permanent UK flagship for the brand.

A second 1,300 sq ft store will open at 109 Kings Road in June, carrying just the womenswear and junior lines.

The stores will hold UK exclusives, and will include a showcase of the brand’s hero ‘Free the Sea’ collection. It's a sustainable range made using Sequal yarn produced by the Seaqual initiative, which uses recycled plastic waste from the sea with proceeds going to The SeaCleaners NGO.

Prices for the wider offer range from £45-£740 for womenswear, £45-£595 for menswear and £15-£139 for kidswear.

The new stores have been designed to “ensure customers have a premium experience, including a lounge area and complimentary coffee for customers, as well as regular in-store brand activations, including style sessions, talks and personalisation”.

The stores feature natural materials used throughout.

IKKS CEO Ludovic Manzon called Carnaby Street “a perfect location to launch our first standalone store in London, as it’s not only an iconic shopping destination, it’s also where we know our target customers are shopping”.

He added that he’s “pleased with the response to our recent new standalone store openings in China and Madrid. This gave us the confidence to expand to additional markets in which we were seeing existing demand for IKKS Paris”.

Samantha Bain-Mollison, Retail Director at Carnaby landlord Shaftesbury, said: “The brand will sit perfectly within the existing retail portfolio of exciting fashion concepts on Carnaby Street that offer customers a point of difference and a premium shopping experience.”

The 35-year-old brand, founded by Gérard Le Goff, aims to “embolden urban free spirits around the world to rock their lives through creative, responsible, 365-day Parisian easy chic fashion,” we’re told.

The collection includes four stylistic pillars, Urban Rock, Urban Cargo, Urban Military and Urban Mobility.
