Gore-Tex appoints Achim Ewers zum Rode to lead brand and consumer strategy

W.L. Gore & Associates has recently appointed Achim Ewers zum Rode as its Global Brand and Consumer Strategy Leader. The post was created by the US lining giant to deal with what it defines as "globalisation and the new consumer attitudes in the digital era." Achim Ewers zum Rode will be in charge of all the brands belonging to Gore's textile division, and notably of the Gore-Tex label.

Achim Ewers zum Rode previously worked in Frankfurt as Head of Brand Experience for Opel, part of General Motors. He joined the group in 2010 as Opel's Brand and Communication Strategy Manager. He will be based at Gore's European headquarters in Feldkirchen-Westerham, Germany.

W.L. Gore & Associates was founded in 1958 and currently generates a worldwide revenue of $3 billion.
