By joining forces, Bestseller will be part of Fashion for Good’s selection process in finding new innovators and will provide selected start-ups with expertise and mentorship. In addition, the Danish retail group will have the opportunity to gain specialized scouting and screening support, as well as access to the latest industry innovations via Fashion for Good’s network, which includes start-ups participating in the platform’s programs.

The parties said that the partnership exemplifies both the parties’ mutual commitment for “industry-wide collaboration, in order to bring game-changing circular innovation to supply chains.”

Dorte Rye Olsen, sustainability manager at Bestseller, said: “At Bestseller, we want to bring sustainable fashion forward until we are climate positive, fair for all and circular by design. To do this we need sustainable innovation and industry collaboration. This is exactly what Fashion for Good represents and why we are pleased to announce our new partnership with them.”

In recent years, Bestseller focused on building a sustainable strategy and circular fashion agenda, the company said. Recent activities include: joining the Ellen MacArthur Foundation Circular Economy 100 Group in 2017 and being a strategic partner of the Global Fashion Agenda.

Bestseller offers apparel and accessories for women, men, teenagers and children. Brands include: Jack & Jones, Only, Pieces, Vila and Vero Moda. The fashion group’s products are available online, at about 2,700 branded chain stores and in 20,000 multi-brand and department stores across Europe, the Middle East, North America, Latin America, Australia and India.

Fashion for Good aims to make the entire apparel industry more sustainable and brings together brands, producers, retailers, suppliers, non-profit organizations, innovators and funders in their quest to do so. The company was founded in 2017 by founding partner C&A foundation. The brand recently announced its latest partnerships that include British luxury house Stella McCartney and German retail giant Otto Group. In October, the platform unveiled the Fashion for Good Experience, the world’s first interactive tech museum dedicated to sustainable fashion innovation.
