The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. announced on Monday key executive changes including the promotion of Philippe Warnery to president of the U.K. and Ireland, the company’s third largest market.

Since 2017, he has been in the role of Senior Vice President and General Manager of the region. He will continue to report to Cedric Prouvé, Group President, International.

Warnery has been with the company for the last 13 years where he began as Regional Director of Clinique, Travel Retail Asia/Pacific, based in Singapore. In 2009, he became Vice President and General Manager of Origins International in New York, where he led Origins’ expansion into new markets including China and Mexico, and was later promoted in 2013 to Senior Vice President and General Manager, Canada.

“Philippe’s entrepreneurial spirit and dynamic leadership are transforming the shopping experience for U.K. consumers through doubling-down on omnichannel experience, connecting e-commerce with freestanding stores, driving digital expansion and focusing on local relevance,” said Prouvé.

“Philippe’s visionary and impactful leadership will continue to be pivotal in driving the U.K. and Ireland’s long-term sustainable growth.”

Meanwhile, in the U.S., Julie Van Ongevalle has been promoted to Global Brand President of Origins, the brand she has been Senior Vice President/General Manager of since 2016, helping lead its strategic evolution.

Van Ongevalle joined the company in 2004 as Marketing Director and has held leadership roles with the MAC Cosmetics teams in both North America and the EMEA region. She will continue to report to Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Group President.

“Julie’s brand building expertise and deep understanding of consumers, channels and markets has led Origins to achieve accelerated global growth,” said Hertzmark Hudis.

Both promotions were effective as of January 1.
