END. and Adidas link up for 'social cycling'-inspired launch

Published

Luxury retailer END. and Adidas are linking up again for a “cycling themed collaborative Velosamba sneaker pack, dubbed ‘Social Cycling’.”

END. x Adidas

Launching on 29 April, END. said it’s “inspired by the casual pastime of modern cycling clubs, [and] the British and German brands look to the world of road cycling for inspiration, celebrating the hair-raising pursuit in all its glory”.

The launch includes two Velosamba sneakers, with the two brands saying they “combine low-key style cues from the world of cycling with classic terrace footwear aesthetics”.

It added: “Centred around coffee and beer respectively – two classic pit-stops for any seasoned cyclist – both make-ups of the Velosamba are constructed with suede from the Charles F Stead tannery in Leeds for an elevated outlook. Refined for transitioning between time on the bike and casualwear, each model is detailed with reflective strips to the heel counter and a two-bolt cleat mount embedded within a reinforced midsole for [a] combination of functionality on the bike and exceptional incognito cycling style.”

The first pair blends neutral tones “to reflect the rich flavours and colours of a perfectly brewed cup of coffee”. And the second “look[s] to the aesthetics of a bottle of beer for inspiration, combining hits of bottle green, vibrant red and tonal white hues to reflect a cold and crisp beer”.

They come with bespoke END. branding to the insole and a hidden embroidered cycling motif to the underside of the tongue.
