Emporio Armani opens first Canadian store in Toronto

The Armani Group opened on Wednesday its first Emporio Armani store in Canada, in Toronto, Ontario, at Yorkdale Shopping Centre. 

The 390 square-meter-space houses both the men’s and women’s lines, including Emporio Armani ready-to-wear, accessories, and small leather goods, as well as Emporio Armani watches, jewellery and sunglasses. 

The store was designed by Giorgio Armani with his team of architects to perfectly complement the aesthetic of Emporio Armani. Blending craftsmanship and modernity, customers will find hardwoods and fine textured wall coverings that match with the neutral ceramic grey flooring, throughout the store. 

The ceiling is covered with wood, and wooden panels continue onto the walls and alternate with wallpaper-covered sections that provide a backdrop for the display of products. For a light and fresh feeling, natural materials in light colours, from grey to almond, were chosen. 

The Italian luxury brand joins a number of luxury brands opening at Yorkdale Shopping Centre in 2022 including Marc Jacobs, who opened its first standalone Canadian location at Yorkdale mid-January, and Acne Studios, which will open its very first Canadian store in the mall, this summer. 

Currently, Emporio Armani is available in Canada at retailers such as Holt Renfrew, Harry Rosen and Hudson Bay. Most recently, Armani celebrated the 40th anniversary of Emporio Armani. It currently operates more than 250 Emporio Armani stores globally.
