Crocs taps Justin Bieber for latest clog collab

Published
Oct 8, 2020

Quirky footwear brand Croc, Inc. has announced a new collaboration with popstar Justin Bieber and his clothing brand, Drew House, for an exclusive clog.

Crocs

The Crocs X Justin Bieber with Drew 'Classic Clog' is designed in the signature yellow shade of the Drew House brand, and includes eight custom Jibbitz charms "designed to match [Bieber's] good vibes and laid-back style," Crocs said.

Bieber appeared publicly in the collaborative shoe on October 6, and further teased the exclusive drop on Instagram and Twitter in a "real or cake challenge" post -- a viral video challenge that involves people cutting into what appear to be random objects, only to reveal that they are hyper-realistic cakes -- featuring a cake replica of the shoe.

"As an artist, it's important that my creations stay true to myself and my style," Bieber said. "I wear Crocs all the time, so designing my own pair came naturally. With these Crocs, I just focused on making something cool that I want to wear."

"Croctober is a monumental time of year for Crocs fans, so it made sense to up the ante by collaborating with an authentic fan – and one of the world's biggest superstars – Justin Bieber," added Heidi Cooley, head of global marketing for Crocs.

"Having a creative of [Bieber's] caliber wearing Crocs shoes is of the highest compliments, and definitely hasn't gone unnoticed. But it's his belief in being true to yourself, a value we share, that makes this special partnership so authentic and exciting."

The limited-edition shoe will be released globally on October 13 for $59.99 across select Crocs and partner e-commerce channels. The shoe will also be sold at select Crocs retail stores in China and South Korea, as well as on www.thehouseofdrew.com.

Previously, Crocs has partnered with stars like Post Malone and Bad Bunny as well as brands like Chinatown Market, Madewell and Vera Bradley.
