Cortefiel enters Tunisia with five new stores

Spanish retail group Cortefiel has launched in Tunisia in partnership with local operator Master Retail. 

According to local media reports, Spain’s second largest clothing retailer has already opened a Springfield store and a Women’secret shop at Tunis City, a prime shopping centre in the capital housing over 60 boutiques across fashion, jewellery, home décor and beauty.

Two further stores are expected to open in the upcoming months inside Carrefour in La Marsa, a coastal town in far north eastern Tunisia, while a third Springfield store will open at Central Park shopping centre in Tunis.

Acording to Kapitalis, Cortefiel’s local partner plans to open a dozen new locations in the coming five years.

With its brands Cortefiel, Springfield, Women’secret, Pedro del Hierro and Fifty Factory, the retail company has over 2,081 points of sale in 86 countries.

On separate news, Grupo Cortefiel appointed last Thursday a new CEO. Jaume Miquel will be succeeding Berta Escudero, who presented her resignation citing personal reasons.
