Here are two events that London hypebeasts will no doubt already have put into their spring calendars: On Friday, American streetwear label and iconic emblem of cool, Kith, is setting up in Selfridges, while Paris concept store Nous is set to open its own London store.

Founded in 2007 by Ronnie Fieg, the label is opening a store abroad for the first time. Kith will be making itself at home in the Designer Street Room on Oxford Street, over a 1,700-square-metre space dedicated to menswear and which was thoroughly renovated last autumn. It will showcase its collections as well as collaboration pieces, the most recent of which was conceived of with Russell, but also Kith Treats, a cereal and ice cream bar concept that was previously launched in the US.

Nous, meanwhile, has said that its London store should open before the summer, but has not disclosed anything more than social media teasers for the time being.

Currently, work is still underway. The former Colette employees who founded Nous opened a second Paris store at 49 rue Cambon, neighbouring its original address at number 48 on the same street. Its Paris selection offers co-ed ready-to-wear, accessories and lifestyle products.

In December 2018, Nous made its first international foray by opening two Swiss stores: one in Geneva airport’s duty-free zone and one in the city of Geneva itself. With the support and the network of its majority shareholder, Swiss fund 21st Luxury, Nous appears ready to deploy its French touch on the international stage. Another spring opening, in Miami, is also on the horizon.
