Carnaby to hold Christmas shopping 'party' this week

Major London landlord Shaftesbury will stage a “shopping party” later this week with Thursday seeing over 90 brands in the 14 streets of the Carnaby area and Newburgh Quarter offering 20% off, special offers, free entertainment and in-store activations between 17:00 and 21:00.

It comes at a time when physical stores in the UK are struggling to tempt shoppers through their doors and as a number of reports show that the Christmas shopping season is becoming increasingly digital.

To maximise the appeal of this event, the company is also making the most of its Bohemian Rhapsody link-up with that movie’s debut last week seeing it dominating box office takings globally. There’s a Queen global experiential store at 3 Carnaby Street with a range of merchandise and experiences on offer.

Carnaby Street visitors will be able to dance under the Bohemian Rhapsody lights with live entertainment on the street throughout the evening from Bulsara and His Queenies. They will also be able to listen to electric string quartet Vesper.

A raft of fashion and lifestyle brands will be taking part, including Dr Martens, Monki, Jack Wills, Levi’s, Office, Scotch & Soda, Puma and Happy Socks, Shinola, The Great Frog, Lazy Oaf, Nixon and Onitsuka Tiger.

Beauty brands celebrating will also include Spectrum, Cowshed, Pixi, Too Faced, Urban Decay, and Benefit.
