Asos unveils Lion King-themed collection with Disney

Asos has teamed up with Disney on a special collection of Lion King-inspired clothing and accessories to celebrate the upcoming release of the hotly-anticipated CGI remake. 

Considered one of Disney’s most popular films ever, the 1994 original cartoon is being brought back to the big screen through a photorealistic computer-animated feature that will be released in UK cinemas on 18 July.

The film’s famous characters, including Simba, Timon and Pumbaa are also featured in the new Asos Design x Design collection, which reworks classic film moments, original prints and iconic scenes into new styles with a nostalgic feel.

The exclusive collection includes womenswear, menswear and unisex pieces, as well as styles for the Asos Curve and Asos Plus ranges, and it has a distinctive casual vibe with printed shirts, bucket hats and tie-dye t-shirts. Among others, hero pieces are a Zazu-inspired printed knit jumper and cardigan, statement co-ords and the Simba-themed sweater.

The collection created by Asos’ own design team will launch on the online store on 1 July.
