The second edition of the sourcing trade show kicks off on Monday, May 28. With more than 300 exhibitors from over 15 countries participating, the significantly expanded event will be looking to showcase local and international talent and facilitate global connections.

Organized to coincide with this year’s Miami Fashion Week (May 29 – June 2), ATSM is expected to attract some 4,000 visitors, while more than 10,000 fashion industry professionals are expected to be coming to the Magic City for the two events.

Exhibitors at ATSM will include fabric mills, garment factories, service providers and wholesalers, among others. A wide range of brands will also be in attendance, from global giants likes H&M, Levi’s, Macy’s, JCPenney and Tommy Hilfiger to local talent including Renee Ruiz, Julian Chang, Bianca Coletti, Cubavera and Maria D’Ocon.

In terms of international representation, the event is welcoming a Latin American delegation of apparel and textile producers looking to conduct “near-sourcing” business with attendees.

Elsewhere, both local and international brands, along with up-and-coming student designers, will be represented at the ATSM fashion show, organized by Charlene Parsons, director of Miami International University of Art and Design’s Fashion Department.

The Pantone Color Institute will also be running a stall, unveiling its fashion color trend forecast for Autumn/Winter 2020-2021.

Launched in 2018, ATSM has doubled in size for its second year, adding a dedicated Footwear Pavilion and a Technical Textiles section, as well as a space in which to demonstrate state-of-the-art manufacturing technology.

The trade show will be hosting a number of events and activations, including a total of 30 seminars covering topics ranging from trade policy, B2B and B2C e-commerce and supply chain strategy to upcoming trends.

Speakers include fashion consultant Anna Livermore; director of Hispanic marketing at Perry Ellis, Luis Toro; influencer Valeria Orsini; and Sal Khokhar, former head of licensing at DKNY and Adidas, among others.

With the support of the Investment Association of China, ATSM will also be hosting the first Asia-US-Latin America Investment Summit on May 28, providing a forum for major Chinese investors looking to South Florida as the next stop for China’s One Belt, One Road global trade initiative.

Apparel and Textile Sourcing Miami takes place at the Mana Wynwood Conference Center, May 28 through 30.
