Bicester Village will be increasing its fashion and dining offering next month when it opens more than 30 new shops as part of its extension plans.

The extension, due to open on 19 October, replaces what was formerly the Tesco superstore site. In addition to adding new shops, it will create two new flagship restaurants, more parking and a host of additional shopping services.

The expansion will also create 450 new jobs, taking the total number of people working at the luxury shopping mall to more than 3,500.

Bicester Village is currently home to more than 130 boutiques, including coveted designer labels such as Dior, Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Céline, Fendi, Gucci, Saint Laurent and Kenzo.

Roksanda, Escada and Rapha are understood to be joining the line-up.

Located just an hour from London, Bicester Village is a luxury destination offering exceptional value with savings of up to 60% on the recommended retail price.

The discount mall is a go-to destination for wealthy tourists, with Chinese visitors making up half of the six million shoppers that visit the destination each year. It has been described as one of the most popular attractions in the UK for Asian visitors, second only to Buckingham Palace.
