Marking its second edition, Viva Technology will take place this week, June 15 to 17, at Park Expo at Porte de Versailles, in Paris. With 250 sessions planned and 100 demonstrations of new technologies, the start-up-dedicated tradeshow will also showcase the best in luxury with the involvement of several different brands from LVMH Group.

The debut Viva Technology conference was held in February at Elysée with the attendance of the French President - AFP

Founded by Maurice Lévy, president and director of Publicis and Les Echos group, Viva Technology hopes to forge an ecosystem for start-ups, much like what Cannes film festival is doing for cinema.

Over three days, both professionals and the public can discover the latest projects and innovations across different domains such as the environment, everyday life, social media, education, medicine, and sport, as well as luxury and retail.

At the event, the luxury sector will be majority-represented by LVMH group, owner of Les Echos. Representatives to attend the tradeshow will include LVMH CEO, Bernard Arnault; Yanis Bezine, head of social media at Berluti; Eric Goguey, managing director of virtual department store LVMH 24 Sèvres; and Elsa Corbineau, head of operations, marketing and communications at Fred.

Other industry players such as My Little Paris, Unibail Rodamco, and Alibaba -- represented by managing director Daniel Zhang, will also present discussions on the future of retail, technology know-how, and the case for ethics in the development of new technologies.

Finally, LVMH will also present the 16 finalists of its first start-up competition, rewarding the most innovative start-ups in the luxury sector. The first edition of Viva Technology welcomed 45,000 attendees over three days with 5,000 participating businesses.
