The Spanish jewelry brand opened a store in Montreal’s CF Carrefour Laval shopping center. With the new opening, the brand oversees 29 points of sale in North America, three of those located in Canada.

“This will be our third storefront in Canada and we hope to bring our exclusive jewelry designs to a new market beyond the United States border,” Unode50’s president and creative director José Azulay, stated.

Azulav opened the Montreal store following the success of the brand’s Toronto location.

The store is decorated with elaborate works of art created by the company’s design firm, including 50 limited-edition pieces made with oak and walnut, accented with metal and leather details. The store also has a wide variety of jewelry and watches for men and women, including limited-edition pieces, all of which are handmade in Spain.

The opening in CF Carrefour Laval is one of the latest steps in Unode50’s expansion plan, which was implemented in 2017. At the beginning of the year, the company opened new stores in San Francisco, Turin, and moved its storefront in Los Angeles’ Century City. At the same time, the brand hopes to move its store in New York’s Soho neighborhood to a better location by the end of fall 2017.

In the first trimester of the year, the company announced a 10 percent increase in sales. In the past few years, Unode50 has tripled its yearly sales to reach almost 70 million euros, and has put in motion an ambitious growth plan. Around 60 percent of the brand’s revenues come from outside Spain.

With more than 100 stores in over 40 countries, the chain commands stores in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, New York, Rome, Tokyo, Milan, Berlin and Paris, and is found in more than 2,500 sales points across multibrand stores worldwide.
