Tranoï New York growing fast

Published
Sep 18, 2015

The second edition of Tranoï in New York is set to do very well this season. Once again being held at The Tunnel, a former train station turned night club and exhibition center in Chelsea, the dates have been modified to complement the leading New York trade shows.

At its first edition in February decided to start earlier than D&A and Coterie. This time, the French trade show begins at the same time as D&A (on 18 and 19 September) and the day before Coterie (19 to 21 September).

Another novelty worth noting, the creation of a permanent office in New-York, led by Michael Hadida, son of Armand Hadida, Artistic Director of Tranoï, and brother of David Hadida, the trade show's Director. The goal is to prepare for the New York editions of the trade show, to find a new site for the show as of 2016, and to consider other editions in the USA.

Taking place over 3 days, this second edition of Tranoï will represent the "perfect mix of avant-garde European designers and American contemporary casualty" by presenting 85 designers. A significant increase compared to the February edition and more adapted to the American market.

Nearly 50 European brands will be present, with a strong Italian contingency but also representatives of Belgium and Germany, not to mention France, of course.

On the American end, some twenty brands will be presenting their collections, including, among others, Milo’, a contemporary made in Brooklyn knitwear brand, the high fashion iPhone cases and accessories from California's Vanessa Rey, women's ready-to-wear from Schai, handbags by Déborah Sawaf sold under the Thalé Blanc brand and creations of the excellent Studio One Eighty Nine.
