Tiffany & Co. Chief Brand Officer Caroline Naggiar to step down

Published
Feb 6, 2018

After almost 28 years with Tiffany & Co., the company announced this Monday that its Chief Brand Officer Caroline Naggiar will step down from her current role in January of next year, following a transition period starting in April.

Naggiar is leaving the company in order to pursue new professional projects. In her role as Chief Brand Officer, she was responsible for laying out the brand’s strategy, while also supervising global brand management, PR and media planning.

The jewelry brand has also announced that former Vice President for jewelry collections, Andrea Davey, has been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President for Global Marketing, a role that she stepped into on February 1.

Naggiar began working at Tiffany & Co. in 1990, serving in a number of different marketing and branding roles until she took on her current position in 2016.

News of her resignation follows the announcement of the departure of Senior Vice President for Strategy and Business Development, Jean-Marc Bellaiche, scheduled for the end of March, as the company seeks to streamline the management of its non-jewelry categories around its core jewelry lines.

Tiffany & Co. has seen a slump in comparable sales since the third quarter of fiscal 2015. However, following the diversification of its product lines to include cheaper silver jewelry and other decorative objects, the brand reported positive results over the holidays, posting 6% growth in same-store sales in the Americas in November and December 2017, while worldwide same-store sales increased 5% during the same period.

Naggiar’s resignation is effective January 31, 2019, but from April 30, 2018, she will be assisting the brand in transferring her responsibilities to her successor.
