Thom Browne to take over Colette on October 2

Published
Sep 28, 2017

Colette announced on Tuesday that Thom Browne is the next designer to debut a designer takeover collaboration at the store. The American designer is the fourth designer to take over the Parisian concept store, joining Balenciaga, Lucien Pagès, and current resident Sacai.

Colette

“I remember meeting Sarah when I first started and I was overwhelmed by her acceptance of my then small, sophomoric collection,” said Browne.

“Since that time, she has always been so supportive in providing both a creative and commercial point of view. She is a merchant with a singular, steadfast vision – a trait that is quite rare in today’s industry. I’m honored to be a part of Colette’s history.”

The retail installation, debuting on October 2, will be located on Colette's second floor and will feature Thom Browne’s signature grey color palette and mid-century design elements, as well as a made-to-measure area that will anchor the space. The made-to-measure service will be available to women for the first time as well.

The takeover collaboration will also feature over two hundred exclusive Thom Browne men’s and women’s pieces, including runway pieces, childrenswear, Americana-inspired novelty items, home goods, new brand categories in denim and reworked best sellers.

In addition, the designer will celebrate the October 18 opening of Paris’ renowned contemporary art fair, FIAC, with a series of limited edition scarves designed in collaboration with artist Maurizio Cattelan.

The Thom Browne designer takeover collaboration will run from October 2 to October 28 and will be followed by Chanel and Saint Laurent.
