Texworld USA returns to NYC with 715 vendors for summer show

Published
Jul 12, 2018

Texworld USA and sister show Apparel Sourcing are returning to New York this month to offer the largest sourcing event on the East Coast for buyers, developers, designers, merchandisers and sourcing professionals.

Texworld USA and Apparel Sourcing USA take place July 23rd through 25th

715 vendors from 18 countries are booked for the show. New to this summer's show is a section called Local Loft where guests have direct access to domestic and locally-sourced production facilities that offer low minimums. There will also be a catwalk presentation showcasing intimates from Shenzhen’s Underwear Association.

The show will again play host to the "Explore the Floor" series which has been expanded to allow for further connections between guests and exhibitors. Topics covered in the series include ethical sourcing, sustainability, agroforestry, and fashion law.

Texworld will also curate color, fabric and apparel trend areas. The AW19/20 season showcase exhibit has been curated by Texworld Art Directors, Louis Gerin and Gregory Lamaud, who are based in Paris. Gerin and Lamaud will present their findings and trims in the Spotlight area of Apparel Sourcing USA. Additionally, NY-based expert Jana Platina Phipps, who is also known as the Trim Queen, will host a trim activation and workshop.

“Texworld USA and Apparel Sourcing has made it a priority to give our attendees the best resources to discover the latest innovations and trends with endless access to educational seminars, textile talks and wide exhibitor offering,” explains Show Director Jennifer Bacon in a release.

Texworld USA and Apparel Sourcing USA take place July 23rd through 25th at the Javits Convention Center in NY. The Home Textiles Sourcing Expo Summer 2018 will also take place alongside Texworld USA, offering access to bed, bath, floor, table, window and upholstery.
